The Sociedade Brasileira de Geofisica (SBGf), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and  the Latin American Geophysical Union (ULG) are teaming to conduct in 2008 a Forum to focus discussions on the issues surrounding the challenges of improving production in mature fields. The goal of this Forum is to stimulate discussion and to promote communication and networking between geoscientists to spark ideas that could lead to solutions to these challenges.
The Forum also would like to bring experiences gained in offshore fields since some of them have been producing for more than 20 years.  We hope to have examples from offshore and onshore fields from South America, Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, Middle East, Russia and others.

The Organizing Committee expects to receive 150 participants from Brazil and abroad.
